federal government. Pleasant Point Baptist Church will have a revival August 21-24. Services will begin Thursday night at 7:30. Rev. Richard Skidmore, Pastor of Northside Baptist Church, Science Hill, will be the evangelist.

Rev. Vernon Clark, cordially Invkes the public to attend. The DAV will have their regular meeting on Thursday, August 21 at 7:30 p.mat the Lincoln County Courthouse. All members are urged to attend. The Stanford Elem.

School PTA will meet in the Joe T. Embry Auditorium Thursday, August 28 at 7:30 p.m. All parents and. interested citizens are invited to attend this organization meeting. A nursery will be provided.

Mr. Larry Lewis, Director of Pupil Personnel, will be available for questions concerning bus schedules. Bige Coots, 63, of Route 2, Crab Orchard, died at his home Wednesday evening, August 13, of an apparent heart attack. Born June 8, 1917 in Leslie Co. he was a retired construction worker, employee of the Lincoln County Road Dept and a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and, Mrs. Boyd Coots of Hazard; his wife, Sohia Day-Coots, Rt. 2, Crab Orchard; three sons, Homer and Michael Coots of Dayton, Ohio, and Patrick Coots of Rt. 2 Crab Orchard; two 'daughters, Jackie Wren and Hazel Saylor of Rt.

1 Crab Orchard; two brothers, Ray Coots Hazard and Homer Coots, Cor-bin; one sister, Viola Baker7 London; and 11 grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Martin Funeral Home, Rev. Ron Harpe officiated. Burial was in the family cemetery at Fall Lick.

Pallbearers were Glenn, Ray and Jr. Coots, James Weren, Ernest Day and Carlos Denny. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of' all arrangements. John G. Osborne, 60, died Friday, August 15 at the Fort Logan Hospital after an illness of six months.

Osborne was a native of Knox County and had been a resident of Stanford for 18 years, where he was a maintenance engineer at Fort Logan Hospital. He was a World War Navy veteran and was a trustee and member of the Calvary Hill Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Lincoln Fair Board, the Stanford Lions Club and was active in 4-H youth Camps. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Foley Osborne; one son, John Michael Osborne of Frankfort; three brothers, Reed Osborne of Covington, Ohio, Bill Osborne of Dayton, Ohio, and James Osborne of Baltimore, two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Plymbonton of Jacksonville, and Mrs.

Helen Bunting of Baltimore, and one grandson, Joseph Michael Osborne of Frankfort. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Morgan and Fox Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Carter officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemtery.

Pallbearers were Cal Smith, Tommy Barlow, O.C. Robbins. Ray Bertram, Jimmy Osborne and Denver Shoup. Ether-age Bastin, of Baton Rouge, La. Etheragedied mid-week of a heart attack. He was born and reared at Walltown and attended high school at the old Kings Mtn. and Middleburg High Schools. He had lived many years in Baton Rouge.

He was a mail carrier and the. father of two sons. Mrs. Hannah and Mrs. Dale Board drove to Baton Rouge for the funeral which was held Saturday afternoon.

They were accompanied by Mrs. Hannah's niece, Regina, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Murphy. Etherage was a fine man and will be sadly missed by his family.

Thev viewed the Claude Nayor, 77, of Stanford Route died Friday, August 15, at the Fort Logan Hospital. Naylor was a native of Lincoln. County, the son of the late Wes and Mary Kay Starnes Naylor. He was a member of the Blue Lick Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie in 1956.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Thelma Taylor, Mrs. Breoda McQueary and Mrs. Martha Sue Cook, of Stanford, Mrs. Johanna Adkins.

of Lancaster, and Mrs. Angie Caudill of Louisville; four sons, Earl Cole-nan Nayl" Claude Naylor, and Harold Naylor of Stanford, and James Wesley Naylor of Danville; two sisters, Dora Brown and Mrs. Bertha. Miracle of Stanford; two brothers, Frank Naylor of Stanford and Rash is'aylorof Danville; 27 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.

Sunday at the Beazley-Raney-Speaks Funeral Home. Rev. Albert Gisler and Rev. Donnie Stewart conducted the services. Naylor's grandsons served as pallbearers.

SPECIAL VALUES Charles Frank Pike, of Waynesburg, died Tuesday, August 12 at the Fort Logan Hospital after a long illness. Born in 1884, Pike was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Pike of Oldham County. He was married four times; first to Rose Case, deceased, Loretta BuriC deceased, Alice Ptkw, deceased and presently to Vola Zeller.

Children include James Pike, deceased, Anna Maty Roland, Cincinnati, Ohio; Harrison Pike, Eubank, Virgil Pike, Waynesburg, Clarence Waynesburg, Herman Pike, Louisville; and Dewey Pike, deceased. Other survivors include two brothers, Jess Pike, and Ben Pike both of Oldham County. Eighteen grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 14 with the Rev. A.F.
