Equipment is provided. LCHS Boys and Girls Booster Club meeting Lincoln County High School Boys and Girls Booster Club will meet Tuesday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. All parents including incoming freshman parents are encouraged to attend. Lincoln Habitat accepting applications Habitat is currently accepting applications for a house that will be built in 2009.

Tire amnesty rescheduled The Tire Amnesty, scheduled for the fall of 2008, has been rescheduled for the fall of 2009. We will not be receiving the funding from the state until next year. Circuit Clerk's holiday closing The Lincoln County Circuit Clerk's office will be closed Friday and Saturday, July 4 and 5 for the July 4th holiday. Lincoln youth soccer sign-ups The Lincoln Youth Soccer Association will hold sign-ups July 19-26 at the First Southern Veterans Park office and Friday, Aug. 1 at Stanford Elementary's open house. Saturday sign-ups are 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m.

Registration is from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tournament begins at 10 a.m. $5 entry fee per person. First place team is guaranteed $200.

She was in a hurry and, as there was nobody behind the fountain at the moment, she started back out the door. Rev. Elmore Ray was sitting at the counter and asked her if she wanted him to make her a coke. She said 'yes' and he made her a delicious coke.

She said, 'I didn't know you were a soda And he replied, 'I was a jerk before I became a Mrs. Mary Terry completed a quilt made in memory of her granddaughter, Janet Marie Engle, who was killed on May 5, 1973, after being struck by a car. The quilt was all handmade from ribbons received on flowers at the girl's funeral. Mrs. Terry embroidered the names of all her grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the quilt.
