Page 4 THE INTERIOR JOURNAL, March 9, 1995 Arvil "Plow" Jones Freeman J. Sowers Obituaries Donald Wooldridge Freeman J. Sowers, 58, of 105 Clover Court, Stanford, died Friday, March 3 at his residence. A native of Lincoln County, he was born Dec. 13, 19.36 to Lillie Spears Sowers of Stanford and the late Jeff Sowers.

He was a construction worker. Other survivors include one son, Dwayne Sowers of Tennessee; one daughter, Cheryl Miles of Hazard; two brothers, Robert Sowers of Mel-borne, and Jimmy Sowers of Stanford; three sisters, Frances Estes Young Wooldridge of Stanford; a son, Donald Gary Wooldridge of Stanford; and a daughter, Vicky Lee Freeman of Stanford. Arrangements are incomplete with Fox Funeral Home being in charge of the arrangements. Kidd of Stanford; three step-daughters, Maria Bryant, Stephanie Howard and Tonya Austin, all of Manchester; two sisters, Nadine Smith of Manchester and Loretta Poynter of Hamilton, 7 grandchildren; 16 nieces, 5 nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Joey, Johnnie, David, Calvin and Phillip Smith and Wayne Denson.

Honorary pallbearers were Mendel and W. P. Jones, Jimmy and Buddy Howard, Robert and Ricky Walker, Ruth and Ricky Smith, Chris Hogue, Glenn Harris, Greg Kidd, Barry Bryant, Keith Austin, and Owen Noel. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 7 at the Fox Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Hall and Bro.

Bill Wagers officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Arvil "Plow" Jones, 57, of 2142 Stanford Road, Lancaster, died Sunday, March 5 at the Fort Logan Hospital emergency room in Stanford. Jones was the host of thepopular morning radio show on WRSL, The Country Store. A victim of polio as a child, he was the first polio patient in Kentucky to be treated in a "iron lung." A native of Manchester, he was born Aug.

20, 1937 to the late Pearl Jones and Polly Harris Jones. He was a disc jockey for WRSL Stanford Radio for 30 years, a disc jockey at Manchester, Corbin, London, Liberty WKDO and Mt. Vernon, and a member of the Stanford Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Howard Jones of Lancaster; one son, Jeff Jones of Stanford; two daughters, Janie Hogue and Jeannie Frank Johnson Donald Wooldridge, 73, of 506 Danville Stanford, died Tuesday, March 7 at the Fort Logan Hospital emergency room. He was a retired welder and a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Sally Katherine Sally Katherine Brumett Baugh, 83, of Melbourne, and formerly of Crab Orchard, died Monday, March 6 at the Beverly Oaks Nursing Home in Melbourne, FL. A native of Maywood, she. was born July 17, 1911 to the late Henry and Mary Pollard Brumett She was a member of the Baptist Church, a devoted homemaker, and the widow of Charlie Baugh. Survivors five sons, William Henry Baugh of Louisville, Edward Earl Baugh of Cleveland, Allen Craig Baugh of Frankfort, Charles James G.Bennett Mary Irene Carter Frank Johnson, 99, a native of Crab Orchard, died Feb. 12 at James S.

Taylor Nursing Home in Louisville. A native of Lincoln County, he was born April 6, 1895 to the late Alex and Hester Johnson. He worked as a teacher in Lincoln and surrounding counties school systems for many years and was the widower of Bertha Burrus Johnson. He was an active deacon and Sunday School teacher in his church and also an active participant in the South District until his Keefe receives John Kccfe James G. Bennett, 75, of 727 Rockingham Road, Gray, died Wednesday, March 1 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.

A native of Gatliff, he was born in 1919 to the late Charles Bennett and Flora Smith Bennett. He was manager of Rockingham Boat Dock. Survivors include his wife, Bea Centers Bennett; one son, Jimmy Bennettof Lexington; twodaughters, Janice Ramey of North Vernon, and Betty Jo Smith of Louisville; one brother, Morris Bennett of Someret; Mary Irene Carter, 62, of Foxbord Dayton, died Monday, March 6 at the Hospice of Dayton. A native of Madison she was born May 28, 1932 to the late James Conner and Florence Robinson Conner. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ of East Dayton.

Survivors include her husband Dewey Gordon Carter of Dayton, one son, Barry G. Carter of Fredrick Franklin Centers Dorothy Neal INTERESTED IN christian education Dorothy Neal, 66, of 2665 Wall-town Road, Kings Mountain, died Monday, March 6 at U.K. Medical Center, in Lexington. 1 A native of Hamilton she was born Feb. 4, 1929 to Delia Carman of Walltown and the late Luther Carman.

Centers of Cumberland; three daughters, Bea Bennett of Gray, Mary Madden of Mel vin-vale, and Gloria Wilkenson of Knoxville, two sisters, Ella Dessie Dessie Sims, 83, of 1 17 McKinney Court, Stanford, died Saturday, March 4 at the Fort Logan Hospital. A native of Dorton, she was born Sept 9, 1911 to the late I. B. Sanders and Mary Ellen Horn Sanders.

She was a homemaker, a member of Harris Memorial United Methodist Church, and the widow of Earl Sims.
